The competition

A case does not end with an idea. It ends with a defence.

At every station girls go from the case to the defence. Each stage tests how well they understand the problem and how convincingly they defend the answer.

FAQ

What to know before you apply.

What is Voice of Justice?

A volunteer-led project that introduces girls to the world of law. It started in April 2025 with the support of UzLiDeP.

At each event, a “station”, girls work through a real or real-life case, prepare a legal solution and defend it before judges. The aim: to protect women's rights and inspire girls towards the careers they dream of, especially in law.

Who can take part?

Girls at school, lyceum, college or university. No legal background is needed.

You can enter solo or as a team. Team size runs from 2 to 6 depending on the station, and some stations form teams of four on the day. Ambassadors have been aged 15 to 25.

How does a station work?

Each station has its theme: discrimination, rigid gender roles, roles on screen, family and career. The case is published in advance or handed out on the day.

The team defends an evidence-based legal solution in 10 minutes. Judges, often lawyers and law students, score it and give feedback.

What do participants receive?

Everyone receives a certificate, at many stations stamped by UzLiDeP. The top three teams win prizes, from national dress to drawing tablets.

Bigger stations have added recommendation letters, one-to-one advice from students abroad, guest speakers and partners' gift sets.

How do I register?

With the application on this page, or the link in the station's announcement on the Telegram channel. Some stations have limited places, such as 50 per region.

After you apply, the regional event manager contacts you on Telegram or by phone.

Can I volunteer or become an ambassador?

Yes. Every season Voice of Justice recruits volunteers (media, hospitality, decor, coordination) and regional ambassadors. The July 2026 call drew 800 applications.

Volunteers receive an official certificate and recommendation letter, hands-on experience for their portfolio and a network of professionals. Ambassadors start and lead a Voice of Justice station in their own city.

Where are new stations announced?

New stations and volunteer calls are announced on the Telegram channel. The project is now also looking for ambassadors in Kazakhstan.
